We're working as fast as we can, we promise!

Hey everyone out there!

Just wanted to pass on some info about our shipping process that may help.

We use a software packing company to ship our games for us. They are working as hard as they can to ship out quite a large number (thousands) of games. The packages are being shipped out of their warehouse near Cincinnati, Ohio. They use USPS Priority Mail which takes 2-3 business days to most US locations. International packages are being sent via International First Class mail, which can take 1-2 weeks to arrive.

We are asking for your patience. We cannot pinpoint when packages are shipping for pending orders, but rest assured that we are sending your information to our partner on a daily basis as orders come in. The date your orders leave the warehouse becomes available to us after shipment is completed.

As you can imagine, we have been flooded with emails asking "where's my game". If you have sent an email to sales@stardock.com, we are working through them as fast as we can. Sometimes we have to give a generic response because our shipping company has your information and is processing the order, but cannot provide a specific date when your game will be shipped. We do know that games have begun to arrive on doorsteps on Friday and Monday.

I wish we had the manpower and resources to ship as quickly as larger entities like Amazon. Believe me, I love it when they ship out my stuff before it actually comes out so I get it on the release date! This is definitely a learning experience for us and we are watching how this pans out very carefully.

I hope most of you have downloaded the game and are already enjoying it. If you haven't received any registration information and believe this is in error, you can always pop your email address into the form at https://www.stardock.com/support/ to get it straightaway.

Again, please be patient with us, we are doing the best we can! Back to email I go...

Hello,

I've got my copy in France on friday and I preodred the game. I didn't have to pay any customs. The game was shipped 2 weeks ago according to the post office stamp from the US Mail services.

I got my CE pre-order confirmation 3 weeks ago today but still have not received the game in the mail. I live on a Navy Base in the Bahamas. I'm hoping to see it this week or I will really start to be concerned.

Maybe the delivery guy decided to take a short vacation there

Hi everyone,I live in the UK and brought the game (Box & DL) via DL on the 15th of Feb. Question:Should I be expecting this to arrive in the next week, just trying to judge how long it takes to cross the Atlantic. Will there be an additional charge when it arrives at my door regarding over seas tax etc. Will it ever be seen in any UK retailers this year if so when and who! Finally, who from the UK has brought this game from a UK online retailer (if any). Many ThanksSadlad

I received it today (16 days after order), with the inclusion of a £12 VAT charge from customs (fortunately it was sent to my work, who paid the charge without asking what was in the box and didn't ask me for the money either). One thing is that the box was sent without my name on it (but the correct shipping address). Another is that I received it with a packing list with some Belgian dude on the 'ship to' field rather than myself.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the feed back. I still haven't had any delivery and hope that I don't get any charge from customs (VAT). Especially as a few mates are waiting to see what happens to me regarding ordering this game.

Hey guys,

I pre-ordered the game way back before beta 1, been having fun with the various builds since then. That said I still haven't received my box copy (I'm outside Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada).

I emailed sales@stardock.com and in the reply that said that it shipped on 2/8/2008. As of right now i still haven't received my copy, (3 weeks later). I know that Canada Post sucks sometimes but I've had packages arrive from New Zealand faster than this. Is it too soon to consider my box copy MIA?

You'd need to contact sales again to check on that.

Just a little update for everyone:

Our shipping partner is shipping out boxes faster than before. They are packing the game in brown boxes that measure 8" by 6" by 3". (Forgive me if these measurements are off, I recently tossed the last test package we received at the office.) The mailing label stuck to the top of the box is white.

For you international folks, we really appreciate your patience. 1-2 weeks is usually the transit time, but if you haven't gotten your package after the 3rd week, please check at your local post/customs office to see if it is being held for you there. We have had a few packages located this way.

If you believe you should have received your package by now, email sales@stardock.com and we can let you know when it was shipped. We do not use tracking numbers, however, for international orders, we can provide the number on the customs form that was used.

One more tidbit of information; if you ordered 2 or more copies of Sins or ordered it with another game like GalCiv, they may arrive in separate boxes.

And another tidbit; if you gave a company name during the checkout process, this is what will appear on your shipping label, NOT your name. Your name is printed on a packing slip inside the box. We are looking into changing this.

Mine just arrived today (UK). Nice work on the delivery, only took 2 weeks

Though I guess it almost seems a tad redundant having the game already. But it does have some nice stuff in there!

I purchased my game in late februari and it still hasn't arrived. I have a feeling it got lost in the mail somewhere as I live in Holland. I hope I'm not to late mentioning this I had forgotten I ordered the retail version.

I don't know if this is a problem, but I ordered the game a week ago and it has yet to arrive (I am in continental US). I think it may have to do with me putting my mailbox info on the first address line (I live on a college campus). Would this be problematic? I put the actual street address on line 2.

The "shipped to" address on the receipt is as it should be if someone was trying to send something to me but I don't know if the autosorting liked it or not. I sent an e-mail btw.
