Hey everyone out there!

Just wanted to pass on some info about our shipping process that may help.

We use a software packing company to ship our games for us. They are working as hard as they can to ship out quite a large number (thousands) of games. The packages are being shipped out of their warehouse near Cincinnati, Ohio. They use USPS Priority Mail which takes 2-3 business days to most US locations. International packages are being sent via International First Class mail, which can take 1-2 weeks to arrive.

We are asking for your patience. We cannot pinpoint when packages are shipping for pending orders, but rest assured that we are sending your information to our partner on a daily basis as orders come in. The date your orders leave the warehouse becomes available to us after shipment is completed.

As you can imagine, we have been flooded with emails asking "where's my game". If you have sent an email to sales@stardock.com, we are working through them as fast as we can. Sometimes we have to give a generic response because our shipping company has your information and is processing the order, but cannot provide a specific date when your game will be shipped. We do know that games have begun to arrive on doorsteps on Friday and Monday.

I wish we had the manpower and resources to ship as quickly as larger entities like Amazon. Believe me, I love it when they ship out my stuff before it actually comes out so I get it on the release date! This is definitely a learning experience for us and we are watching how this pans out very carefully.

I hope most of you have downloaded the game and are already enjoying it. If you haven't received any registration information and believe this is in error, you can always pop your email address into the form at https://www.stardock.com/support/ to get it straightaway.

Again, please be patient with us, we are doing the best we can! Back to email I go...

I got mine today. Two things

1. It arrived at my billing address and not my shipping address. Theres not much of a difference for me (just across town), but i can see this screwing some people up.

2. The CD key inside the box is not the one i got when i bought the game online... Did i get lucky, or does the CD key in there not work?=P

Mine showed up today as well (NC). One week and one day since placing my order, not bad at all!

I'm also curious about the serial number being different. I guess it's okay if I just keep using my old one, isn't it? I hate typing these things in.

The retail box serial will overwrite your digital serial number.

Alright well it's passed the 2 week mark since release and have yet to receive my copy.

Why would someone who already has a functional, downloaded Sins game (with its own "digital serial number") want to uninstall it to install, in its place, the retail-box version (with its own serial, that would overwrite the previous one) ?!? -- especially since the SDC-downloaded, digital version can be redownloaded anytime !

But anyway, it is interesting to learn that purchasing the digital+box package grants the buyer two serial numbers -- if I understood Stardock's Yarlen well.

Just received my boxed Collectors Edition in the mail. Pretty damn good considering I'm in regional NSW Australia.

Hi everyone,

I live in the UK and brought the game (Box & DL) via DL on the 15th of Feb.

Question:
Should I be expecting this to arrive in the next week, just trying to judge how long it takes to cross the Atlantic.
Will there be an additional charge when it arrives at my door regarding over seas tax etc.
Will it ever be seen in any UK retailers this year if so when and who!
Finally, who from the UK has brought this game from a UK online retailer (if any).

Many Thanks
Sadlad

Hi Sadlad,

I would guess it'll take 2 weeks to arrive, but it may be more (3-4 is probably a safer bet). I'm not sure if there will be a tariff charge or not on the game. Does anyone else from the UK know?

Sins may finally make it into retail in Europe this summer, but it's too soon to say with any certainty. The extremely high sales and great reviews are helping.

Making progress with the pigheaded Euro publishers finally, Yarlen?

Unfortuantely UK customs is as reliable as the weather in england.

My copy came through customs without any customs duty or anything, however theres every chance it could, so unfortunately it is pot luck i think, so it's just matter of waiting and see i think. As i have ordered things from aboard i had to pay custom's on, yet plenty of others i haven't.

Also mine took 2 weeks to come, and i ordered mine on preorder, so it's quite possible you could get yours next week.

And i dunno about any UK retailers, but in honesty i'm more than happy with the service from SD/IC, and ordering online, so even if there isn't UK retailers, at least there's a reliable online store you can get stuff from .
