The CDs *should* start shipping in 2 weeks or so.

Everyone at Stardock is happy to get the final release of Twilight of the Arnor out for download today, but what about the customers who ordered CDs, you say?  We're not forgetting about you!  The company we partner with to create, package, and ship the CDs are beginning the production process as I type this.  It's going to take some time for them to chug out the thousands of CDs we have ordered.  We are looking at about 2 weeks before shipping starts.  Please be patient, and download the game if you can to hold you over (if you haven't already).

Here's an article about transferring a game from an online PC to an offline PC.  This may come in handy for our customers that have slower connections (or no connection) but can download the game at a different PC with a faster connection.

If you placed your preorder for Twilight a long time ago and had an address change, please notify us immediately!  We will need to change it in your record so that your CD gets to you.  Please email sales@stardock.com with your address change.

Thanks for your support!

if I order the cd, is there a manual? will this be in stores?

No and no. There is no printed manual and it will not be in stores.

Are the pre orders still being shipped?

Kryo said they're getting out there, and lots of the US people already have them - international shipping takes a bit longer, give it another week or two.

I purchased Arnor back in December of last year) and paid for the CD, thinking I was getting a boxed copy eventually. I also paid for the DVD of SOASE and actually did get a boxed copy.

So I'm only getting a cd in a sleeve for Arnor?

It's been stated ad nauseum on this site that no, there is (and most likely never will be) a box for Twilight, just like there never was (and really never will be) a box for Dark Avatar.

I also prepaid for software+disc back in december and I'm still waiting for my copy more than half a year later. (Belgium)
On top of it .... IF.... it ever arrives I'm probably going to have to pay some 10€ Custom Charges on top of it ... how bad can it be ?

I am not all over this site often, so I must have missed that. I didn't even know that DA only came on CD. All I know is I paid for Arnor and was expecting the box shown on teh page when I ordered it.

No worries, but seriously...WTF show a &%*#$ RETAIL BOX when you order the game if you're not going to get one?!

WTF show a &%*#$ RETAIL BOX

It's a mockup of a retail box that someone threw together for aesthetic purposes.

I don't understand gamers' obsessions with the damn boxes anyway. It's a hunk of cardboard that's 90% empty and looks cheesy when stacked on a shelf. If I walk into someone's home and see a shelf full of game boxes, my first thought is, Oh, he's one of those gamers . . .

Tack-tacular.

Nope. Digital download only. Or DD and a CD, or CD, but only from Stardock/TotalGaming. If you order a CD, it will most likely come packaged in a simple sleeve.

Yup...I just got my CD today. Simple paper sleeve....no manual or tech tree layout. boo!!!!!!!

Stardock is just cheap.

Stardock is just cheap.

Guys, guys, guys. They've explained to us a million times why they do things this way.

Would you prefer less effort and money put into the game just so you can have a pointless box? Because that's what it takes. You want a box, you get less of a game.

Personally, screw the box, screw the CD, etc. Digital download works like a peach.

I dont care about a box either. The only thing I would have like was a tech tree layout...even as a PDF download. That would be easier then having to view thwm in game.

Just got my CD today, in the UK, so I guess people in Europe will start receiving their as well. Just a sleave with the CD in, and the receipt in an envelope. It's all you need. The PDF will be available as soon as Brad finishes updating it and sends it out! Have fun everyone!

OK - here's an interesting one. I purchased 1 DD+CD a couple weeks ago. Today I got 2 CDs, shipped individually, delivered to my house. I checked my back account and I was not double charged, and I don't particularly want to be. So...do you accept return shipments?
on Jun 30, 2008
You can contact sales@stardock.com to be sure, but I expect they'll tell you it'd probably be cheaper all around to just keep it.

You placed an order and received it in just 2 weeks... you lucky dog... probably got one of mine by mistake.

(I pre-ordered back in Aug. 2007... still waiting for the cd to arrive). (
